Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground chicken I used 97/3*
  • 1 cup diced apple 120 grams
  • 1/2 cup diced onion 60 grams
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a medium or large bowl, add ground chicken, apple, onion, garlic powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg and mix to combine. Form sausage mixture into 11 equal-size patties (about 2 ounces each).
  • Heat up a large skillet or cast iron over medium heat. Add oil and let it get hot, about 30 seconds. Add chicken patties in a single layer and cook for 5 minutes, flip, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Serve with your favorite breakfast items and enjoy!

Notes

For this recipe, you can use ground chicken breasts or thighs. The presence of fat in the meat helps in handling it more easily—it reduces stickiness while mixing the ingredients and shaping them into patties. If the mixture becomes too sticky to handle, simply moisten your hands with water or chill it in the fridge for a while to firm it up.
